How does HOS use research?

HOS uses educational research to shape its work.  This research led HOS to structure its programs for use in small group settings with age-appropriate activities for each grade level.  Science content in HOS activities is consistent with the National Science Education Standards. 

Ongoing program evaluation and feedback from adult leaders and parents is used to continually improve programs.  HOS also conducts research and evaluation in an effort to contribute to the body of knowledge on the impact of informal science enrichment.
